Setup Overview
The Setup tab is where you configure everything about your AI visibility analysis — your brand identity, which AI models to test, which competitors to track, and which prompts to run. Getting your setup right ensures your analysis results accurately reflect how AI assistants perceive your brand.
Accessing Setup
Click the Setup tab in your dashboard navigation. Setup is available on all plans, though some features like Prompt Discovery are limited to Pro plans and above.
Brand, Category & Location
At the top of the Setup tab, you'll see your brand information that was automatically detected during your initial analysis. This includes your Brand Name (how AI models refer to your company), your Category (the industry or product category you compete in), and your Location (city and state for location-aware queries). These fields are auto-populated based on your URL analysis, but you can update them if needed. Accurate brand information ensures your prompts target the right competitive landscape.
AI Provider Selection
Choose which AI models to include in your analysis. Available providers include OpenAI (ChatGPT), Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Overview, and Grok. The number of models you can select depends on your plan — Pro supports up to 5 models, while Elite and Agency plans include all 6. Each provider handles brand recommendations differently, so testing across multiple models gives you the most complete picture of your AI visibility.
Competitor Management
Your Setup tab displays auto-recommended competitors that nonBot detected based on your brand category. Use the checkboxes to select which competitors you want to track in your analysis. You can also add custom competitors using the text field if important competitors weren't auto-detected. Competitors you select appear in your Dashboard KPIs, competitive rankings, and share-of-voice calculations. You can refresh the competitor analysis to detect newly emerging competitors at any time.
Running Your Analysis
Once your prompts, providers, and competitors are configured, click Run Selected Prompts to start your analysis. The button shows how many prompts are selected versus your maximum allowed per run. You'll also see your monthly runs remaining. During execution, a progress modal shows expected versus completed results as they come in. Results are available in the Dashboard and Results tabs once the run completes.
