Connecting Google Analytics

nonBot AI integrates with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to show how AI-referred traffic performs on your website. This guide covers connecting your GA4 property, selecting the right data stream, and managing your connection.

Prerequisites

Before connecting, ensure you have a Google Analytics 4 property set up for your website, at least Viewer-level access to the GA4 property, and a nonBot AI subscription (Pro, Elite, or Agency).

How to Connect

Navigate to the Analytics tab in your dashboard. If no GA4 property is connected, you'll see the setup screen. Click Connect Google Analytics to begin the authorization flow. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your GA4 property. nonBot requests read-only access—your analytics data is never modified.

After authorizing, you'll see a list of GA4 properties and data streams associated with your Google account. Select the property and data stream that matches the URL you're tracking in nonBot. The system will attempt to auto-detect the correct property based on your tracked URL.

What Data Is Accessed

nonBot uses read-only access to pull aggregate traffic metrics. Specifically, it reads session counts and traffic source data, page view and landing page information, channel groupings and source/medium breakdowns, key event (conversion) counts, and revenue data if available. nonBot does not modify your GA4 configuration, access personally identifiable information, or write any data back to your analytics account.

Property Selection

If you have multiple GA4 properties, choose the one whose data stream URL matches the URL you're tracking in nonBot. The property selector shows all properties your Google account can access. If you don't see the expected property, verify that your Google account has at least Viewer access to that GA4 property.

Disconnecting

To disconnect your GA4 integration, go to the Analytics tab and click the disconnect option. This removes the stored authorization and stops pulling analytics data. Your historical analytics data in nonBot is retained. You can reconnect at any time by going through the authorization flow again.

Troubleshooting

If you see "No properties found," confirm your Google account has GA4 access and that you authorized the correct account. If data appears empty after connecting, allow up to 24 hours for the initial data sync. Ensure your GA4 property is actively collecting data by checking the Realtime report in Google Analytics.

Next Steps

Once connected, explore the Analytics Overview to understand your traffic metrics, or jump to AI Traffic to see how LLM-referred visitors behave on your site.
